In 2001 I was diagnosed with Leukemia, I was lucky and have been healthy since my treatments. Now that I am almost 7 years in remission I would think that the life insurance companies would consider offering me insurance. We did some research, and until I am 10 years out, they would want to charge an additional $15,000 per year.
So I was thinking, since the life insurance companies are betting that I will kick the bucket in the next 3 years, and I feel strongly otherwise, perhaps I should be able to offer them options, say they give me $25k today, and if I die in the next 3 years my estate gives them $50k. That's not a bad return, perhaps they should talk to their actuaries.
The only problem is I would hate to give an isurance company an incentive for me to die... <grin>
